A Simple Skincare Routine: Where to Start

Skincare doesn’t have to be complicated. A few thoughtfully chosen steps can make your routine easier to follow and help you understand what works for your skin.

Morning: keep it simple

Start with a gentle cleanse, choosing a cleanser that leaves your skin feeling comfortable rather than tight. Follow with a moisturiser suited to your skin’s needs.

Finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen, following its application and reapplication instructions. Let each product settle before moving on to makeup, if you wear it.

Evening: cleanse and moisturise

In the evening, cleanse to remove makeup, sunscreen, and the day’s buildup. Then apply your moisturiser.

You don’t need to introduce several extra products at once. Start with the basics and add to your routine only when you have a clear reason.

Introduce new products gradually

Follow the product’s directions, including any patch-testing guidance. Introduce one new product at a time so it’s easier to notice how your skin responds. If a product causes irritation, stop using it and seek professional advice if symptoms persist.

Build a routine you enjoy

The best starting point is a routine that fits your everyday life. Keep it manageable, pay attention to how your skin feels, and give yourself permission to keep things simple.
